The Short Center Repertory, the theatre outreach effort of DDSO, is touring the area presenting the Traveling Clown Theatre, inspiring audiences with their skillfully improvised and heartwarming humor. The actors cover the spectrum of disabilities: physical, cognitive, developmental, as well as actors who are blind or who are deaf. But the message is these are not limitations, but testimonies to the ability to transcend. In the hands of these actors, disabilities or "otherness" becomes part of the persona of each character and celebrates our common humanity.
